Facilitated organization wide dialogues that clarified high priority strategic goals. This resulted in broad support and commitment to the goals and approaches. That commitment improved communication and alignment, that produced more effective operations and student learning.
Delivered governance training and coaching to board members. Resulted in improved board meeting participation and decision making. Over a period of months supported and encouraged school leaders with ideas and approaches to address current issues and needs.
Back office staff struggled to meet deadlines and solve recurring errors. After interviews and facilitated discussions I helped the team discover and correct process errors, streamline procedures and learn tasks that improved efficiency and results.
Provided internal project management and planning supports for construction of a new 72,000 SF school facility. Mediated school interests with architect and contractor. Planned and supervised moving all school goods to storage and then into the new facility. Planned and supervised installation of temporary classrooms to ensure school operated while construction was completed within the optimal time frame.
Through multiple projects I collected and clarified critical information necessary to compose effective reports and applications required by or for the clients. Some of these were mandated accountability reports. Some were applications for significant funding essential to the clients' budget. In a number of cases I helped create resources to preserve and access previously hard to locate information.
I initiated a design team to identify inaccessible but important school data and measures. We transformed disparate data and data systems into an integrated and accessible tool to inform leadership to track trends. This was completed with minimal cost using resources available to the school such as Google Apps for Education, the school's SIS, and a discounted Business Intelligence visualization tool subscription. Results shifted leadership understanding to improve timely decisions.
